Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions
This warranty pertains to faulty parts and incorrectly shipped items. We provide a 30-day warranty for parts only.
We do not cover any labor costs for parts sold by CAR PARTS UNIVERSE . If a part is defective, we will initially attempt to replace it. If a replacement isnโt available, a refund will be issued. Return shipping costs wonโt be reimbursed. When contacting CAR PARTS UNIVERSE for a return, please provide a detailed explanation for the return.
Authorized returns must be unused and in their original condition, including all items and components from the original package. They cannot be disassembled, mounted, or damaged due to incorrect installation or user error.
1.RETURN POLICY:
Investing in recycled parts can be a wise decision. However, we offer some advice to ensure clarity. Certain parts may come with attached accessories intended to facilitate installation. These accessories are left on the main part assembly but are not covered by your limited warranty. For instance, engines are sold as long block assemblies, comprising only the main block and head(s). Major part assemblies, such as engines, transmissions, transfer cases, axles, and AC compressors, are accompanied by an installation checklist. Failure to complete and adhere to this checklist at the time of installation renders your limited warranty void. The checklist specifies components that must be replaced simultaneously with your part installation. Our warranties do not encompass additional costs associated with replacing a defective part, including but not limited to labor charges, gaskets, seals, fluids, towing, rental car expenses, hotel charges, or waste disposal fees.
Warranties become void if new seals, fluids, gaskets, and filters are not replaced during installation. Lack of lubrication leading to part failure also nullifies your limited warranty. Alteration, modification, disassembly, overheating, or damage due to misuse or accidents following purchase also voids your limited warranty. Usage of parts for non-OEM applications, such as off-road, racing, farm use, or any application deviating from the original manufacturerโs intent, also nullifies your limited warranty. Guarantee is null if parts are not returned to Car Parts Universe in the same condition as sold or lack the identifying mark found on all Car Parts Universe merchandise. The limited warranty is void if Overheat Indicator Tab(s) are removed, melted, or altered.
Car Parts Universe assumes no responsibility for any costs associated with replacing defective parts, whether labor or otherwise. The parts limited warranty excludes the following: purchaserโs loss of time, inconvenience, loss of vehicle use, towing expenses, rental car fees, commercial losses, or consequential damages, as well as claims resulting from accidents, abuse, neglect, or improper maintenance.
Items that have been modified or disassembled for testing purposes will not be eligible for return. Returned items that do not match the original shipped part will not be refunded. Each part is uniquely identified by markings.
According to our company policy, if a customer receives a damaged or incorrect part, we require the customer to provide service documents or pictures detailing the issue. Verification can only occur after the engine is installed by an ASE Certified mechanic at a Licensed Automotive Repair Facility. Once documents are verified, we will either ship a replacement or process a refund if the part cannot be located. All issues must be communicated in writing via fax or email for verification.
If you receive a damaged or incorrect part, please notify our customer service department at 1-888-800-1228 ext 2 within 7 business days of receiving the RMA. The return address will be provided upon contact, and parts must be returned to the specified location.
All warranty claims must be filed within the warranty period and include a diagnostic print-out from a Licensed Automotive Repair Facility or ASE certified mechanic, along with the unit installation invoice and receipts showing that Recommended Installation/Replacement Procedures were followed within 30 days of the warranty activation period. Complete purchase order details and paperwork, along with photo copies of all receipts, can be emailed to vanessa@qualityautosalvages.com or info@carpartsuniverse.net. Improper installation of engines or transmissions, or installation by a non-ASE Certified mechanic or non-Licensed Automotive Repair Facility, will void the warranty.
For the warranty to remain valid, standard โRecommended Installation/Replacement Proceduresโ must be adhered to. Failure to provide proof of following these steps will result in voiding the warranty.
- SHIPPING POLICY:
The maximum delivery timeframe is 12-15 business days for the part to reach you. However, it may take longer if the part is less readily available or due to carrier delays. Weโll keep you updated via email and calls regarding any delays.
Please note that we do not refund shipping costs. Some items we ship are sent LTL (Less Than Truckload), and shipping expenses can be substantial. Itโs crucial to ensure youโre ordering the correct part. If you have any uncertainties, feel free to call or email us to confirm your order.
Returning the part is the customerโs responsibility, including paying for return shipping. Return shipping charges are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted.
Upon delivery, youโll be asked to sign for it, potentially before the driver even opens the truck to reveal the shipment! Before signing the delivery receipt, itโs essential to inspect the shipment for any damage. If thereโs any damage or suspicion of damage, it must be noted on the delivery receipt before signing. Save all packaging materials, take photos of the damage, and notify CAR PARTS UNIVERSE immediately.
By signing the delivery receipt without noting any damage, you waive all rights to file a claim for shipping damage.
We cannot be held responsible for missing, damaged, or incorrect parts after 7 days, regardless of fault. Additionally, we are not liable for lost or stolen packages; any such claims must be handled through the shipping company.
CAR PARTS UNIVERSE is not responsible for items delivered to the address provided at the time of sale, as per tracking information, but not taken into possession by the customer.
Acceptance of delivery is necessary to initiate any warranty claim. Parts refused at the time of delivery will be subject to a twenty-five percent (25%) handling and restocking fee, and the purchaser will be responsible for all shipping charges.
- REFUND POLICY:
Once the customer returns the item, weโll inspect it, and upon approval, weโll forward a credit request to accounting. Customer refunds are typically issued within 15-20 business days after the returned part has been verified and inspected.
CAR PARTS UNIVERSE will not authorize any credit or accept any return for damage that occurs during shipping but is not noted on the delivery receipt.
If a returned part does not meet the specifications outlined in this warranty, CAR PARTS UNIVERSE reserves the right to apply a 25% restocking fee and withhold shipping amounts from the refund.
Items ordered for testing purposes only or ordered incorrectly by the customer cannot be returned. Items returned after the warranty period will not be refunded and will be returned to the sender. Parts must be received within 30 days of the original shipment delivery date to be accepted.
Items returned in a condition other than the original shipped condition (excluding items damaged in shipping and verified by a CAR PARTS UNIVERSE representative) will not be refunded.
Returning the part is the customerโs responsibility, including paying for return shipping. Return shipping charges are non-refundable, and if a refund is issued, the cost of return shipping will be deducted.
Refunds on part purchases are only issued within 30 days of the original purchase date. Replacements, repairs, or price adjustments do not extend your limited warranty. The purchaser must contact Car Parts Universe in writing within 7 days of the warranty expiration date to file a claim. The purchaser is responsible for the cost of professionally diagnosing defective parts. Car Parts Universe will make the final diagnosis regarding the cause of the warranted partโs failure, and no other partyโs opinion shall override this decision. The limited warranty is limited to the original purchaser and the original part only, and it is non-transferable. Car Parts Universe is not responsible for additional warranty coverage if parts are deemed defective upon original installation. Car Parts Universe is also not responsible for properly diagnosing the original need to repair the purchaserโs vehicle. It is the purchaserโs responsibility to have their problem properly diagnosed before purchasing a part. THESE MATERIALS ARE PROVIDED WITHOUT ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Car Parts Universe reserves the right to replace any defective parts. However, for defective electrical parts, only one replacement will be provided. Refunds are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Refunds will be issued only if the following conditions are met:
The part bears the identifying mark found on all of Car Parts Universeโs merchandise.
- The part has not been altered, modified, disassembled, overheated, or damaged.
- The customer possesses their original invoice.
- The part is not a custom body cut.
- The part is returned within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- All expedited and air shipping charges are non-refundable.
- Returns on recycled tires are not accepted.
Below are some exceptions that will either void a warranty or are exceptions to our 30 day standard warranty
Engine
Engines are sold as long block assemblies, comprising only the main block and head(s). Components such as manifolds, gaskets, seals, hoses, oil pans, timing belts and covers, fuel injection or carburettors, are not included in the warranty as they are not part of the long block assembly. We guarantee only the long block itself. Accessories such as turbos, starters, air compressors, alternators, power steering pumps, optical distributors, or electrical water pumps are typically not included in the sale and/or warranty of an engine. If these parts are purchased separately, they will be under warranty. Other items that may require replacement, such as the water pump, distributor cap, spark plugs and wires, and possibly the timing chain, are also not covered under warranty as they are considered high-wear parts.
Certain parts may come with attached accessories to aid in the installation process, but these accessories are not covered by the limited warranty. The warranty does not cover any additional costs associated with replacing a defective part, including labor charges, gaskets, seals, fluids, towing, rental car expenses, hotel charges, or waste disposal fees.

Alteration, modification, disassembly, overheating, or damage due to misuse or accident subsequent to purchase also nullify the limited warranty. All guarantees are void if the part or parts are not returned to Car Parts Universe in the same condition as sold or if they lack the identifying mark found on all Car Parts Universe merchandise. The limited warranty is void if Overheat Indicator Tab(s) are removed, melted, or altered.
Leaking gaskets or seals are not covered under warranty. We do not warranty oil leaks or damage on engines or transmissions due to non-replaced seals, gaskets, or filters.
Instrument and Speedometer Clusters
We do not provide a mileage guarantee. For specific vehicles, such as Lexus, Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Cadillac, customers may be required to take the cluster to a dealership for reprogramming.
CAR PARTS UNIVERSE will not process any returns or refunds until the customer can furnish written documentation from an Authorized Dealer confirming that the part was reprogrammed and is still not functioning properly.
- Carburetors: We guarantee only the ability to be rebuilt.
- Rotors: Guaranteed to be machinable only; normal use can leave them slightly warped. They are guaranteed against cracks or non-machinable surface damage.
- Cylinder Heads: Guaranteed not to be warped or cracked. Rings and valves may need to be re-machined.
- Orders of โBlock Onlyโ (Short or Long Block) are guaranteed to be rebuildable only.
- Electrical items such as engine computers and body control modules, transmission modules, transfer case modules are only guaranteed to have the correct manufacturer part number and are not sold for testing purposes. All electrical items have a replacement warranty only. Up to one replacement will be sent in order to rectify a non-working module. Modules may need to be reset by the dealer. In the event this is required the part cannot be returned until verified by the dealer that the part has been reset properly. Electrical parts that have been modified in any way will not be refunded.
Body parts, fuse box, any type of wiring harness and cuts are non-refundable and sold AS-IS without any warranty expressed or implied.
- Struts are sold with working condition warranty only. We do not guarantee to actual ride Quality of the shocks or springs. We do guarantee that the springs and strut tower will be in working condition. However, shocks may need to be replaced to improve ride Quality .
- Control arms are guaranteed to be true and straight. Any rubber bushings or non-metal parts attached to control arms are not guaranteed.
- Bushingsand Ball Joints are not guaranteed on parts
- Transmissions: We guarantee that it will shift properly, gears to be good and bearings to be good. Thoroughly clean all components of the transmission including oil pan before assembly. Replace oil and filter in all automatic transmissions. You must replace ALL seals and gaskets prior to installation. Flush & flow test cooler and lines. Fully engage torque converter in front pump. Manual transmission you CAR PARTS UNIVERSE Website: https://carpartsuniverse.net must install a new clutch, pressure plate, and slave cylinder. You must also have your fly wheel turned prior to installation. Fill and check fluid to insure proper levels. Leaking gaskets or seals are not covered. We do not warranty on oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non-replaced seals, gaskets or filters. Any failure due to transmission coolant lines not being flushed at the time of installation is not covered. Transmission may need to be relearned, reset or flashed by dealer AND may need electronic valve body replaced; this is not covered. External switches and sensors on transmissions are not covered.
- Seals in turbos are not guaranteed to be perfect. These seals may need replacing during the warranty period.
- Doors are complete assemblies however they are not guaranteed to come with such accessories as windows, window regulators, handles, hinges, or interior panels. We only guarantee the door shell.
- Other body parts such as hoods, fenders, bumpers, quarter panels, and header panels are not guaranteed to come with hinges, hood ornaments, latches, trim, headlights, or grilles.
- Specific colours may be requested for body parts, but a colour match is not guaranteed. We recommend that body parts be repainted to match your vehicle. Body parts that do not match the colour of your vehicle will not be available for return for that reason.
Recommended Installation/ Replacement Procedures Engines
- Flush cooling system prior to installing engine to remove any debris left over from previous engine.
- Clean or replace oil strainer and pick-up tube screen.
- Replace oil pan gasket and rear main seal.
- Drain and replace engine oils to manufacturer-suggested levels.
- Replace oil filter.
- Timing belts/chains, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, fluids, and seals are routine maintenance items and should be replaced at the time of installation and at the vehicle manufacturerโs recommended service intervals.
- Replace any water hoses or vacuum lines that need replacing.
- Prior to starting engine prime oil system to check to be sure you have oil pressure.
- Proper operation of the cooling and electrical system must be checked during the installation of products that can be affected by those systems.
- Replace valve cover gasket and seals as needed.
- Install new belts and hoses.
Recommended Installation/ Replacement Procedures Transmissions & Transfer Cases
- Drain and replace transmission fluids to manufacturer-suggested levels.
- Replace all seals.
- Install new filter kit.
- Flush and inspect cooling lines.
- Align and engage torque converter into front pump.
- Fill transmission with manufacturer-specified fluid.
- Clear all transmission computer codes prior to starting or operating vehicle
- Adjust throttle position sensor cable.
